Personally I think the Stig is Yoda using his Jedi mind influence on EVERYONE.

But I thougth Id let James know that both my sons that are still at home are now mad keen to try builing their first Airfix model........One want to build a Mosquito athe other wants to build a Bugati something or other (See back on topic).
So he has at least inspired 2 boys.
Actually the one of the old farts blurred out in the model shop looked alot like Jeremy........if you squinted just right.

i am trying to track down a video of jeremy reviewing a lamborghini countach, must be a good 10 15 years ago
he tells how awful it is, from what i remember he drives it round a wee village
then after running it down, , he opens it up and says how amazing the power is
its has to be the clip where bad company the band plays the song (bad company)
the reason for this video is to blast back the past when i fell in love with the lambo
and have a long love affair with bad company the band, (was the first i ever heard them and knew who they were )

If it's true top gear are making their last series ever!
I'd really miss it.
But as suggestion for a theme they could do the entire show in reverse! start with a bombshell end with the opening theme.
the idea being top gear slips into Reverse gear.
some ideas for the show.
see how fast stig can go around the track in reverse.
whats the world record for the fastest car driven in reverse, does anyone know?
take all the cars off the cool wall.
have a guest who's name can be spelt both way. (may be not)
I thought this is a good suggestion, what does anyone else think?

i just cant help but feel they've taken a step too far with the final episode of the latest series - as if they were purposefully mocking the license fee payer with their flamboyant, over the top theatrics. dont get me wrong - i enjoy top gear.. its probably the only program on tv that i actually make time to see. but when i see all of the other trash on the bbc channels and then imagine how big their budget must be for the trio of them, to go gallivanting around the globe, im disgusted. The BBC is direction-less, lackluster and completely uninspired if the only way they can conceive to spend the licence fee income is to pump more cash into top gear so that it can be wasted in this manner. Id rather have some new comedy series, some homegrown independant films, investigative journalism, dramas - ANYTHING. But no.. we just repeat the crap already shown, import crappy american dramas and make programs, telling the viewer about the best bits of the program, or what we can expect from the program - its equivalent to watching the SKY remote control explanation channel... The population in the UK is increasing... the licence fee income is increasing... yet the quality of the output of the BBC is dire. Does jonathon ross really deserve 6million a year? did he cure cancer or something? invented a faster than light method of transport? perhaps he found a remedy to world hunger? NO...he's a pompous obnoxious C*nt. 6 mil a year could feed a small country, literally. SORT IT OUT AND STOP WASTING OUR CASH.

Does anyone know what series and episode that Jeremy drives a car (3 wheeler I think) through the Top Gear Office at the BBC? I remember he goes into a lift and even drives behind 2 people reading the evening news. Appreciate any help, many thanks.

including this incarnation of Top Gear. What was original, spontaneous and amusing has become self-absorbed, repetitive and self defeating.
If the Bolivian cartels can manage to Eddie Stobart up and down that mountain road and every Tom Dick and Aussie Backpacker pops it on their Faceplant page please explain why a group of 3 forty something men with their 14 man crew make such a drama. Its over boys. Cranford here I come.

Some say last night's big "reveal" was just a season-premiere stunt. Do you think Schumacher really is The Stig? Or was it all a joke?
I'm voting joke. Schumacher didn't really carry himself like Stiggy, and it's exactly the kind of prank Clarkson & company love to pull...

i vote no,
partly because i really dont want it to be micheal schumacker
and partly because i have my own suspicions of who it is. if any one has the dvd "back in the fast lane" which is the best bits of series 1 & 2 you'll see that when they are testing the mclaren f1 they use one person then quickly switch to a different person who " knows what he's dooing"
if youve got the dvd go and watch it nowyoull see who i mean
