James May's birth place: Bristol

James May's family:Two sisters (Jane and Sarah, both appeared in My Sister's Top Toys) and one brother (he mentioned in his Top Toys programme). James' parents both appeared in the Airfix episode of Toy Stories and his mum appeared in the Mother's episode of Top Gear.James' father is also called James (as mentioned in the Toy Storiesbook), as was his grandfather, who he mentioned about in a past column where he spoke about his grandfather getting the very first speeding fine. In an early episode ofTop GearJeremy referred to James as "Billy Bob Jimmy May Jr the III".
Education: Music graduate from Pendle College (Lancaster University) where he also received a Doctorate of Letters honorary degree last year (2010). He is credited as Dr James D May BMus, as the composer of the Man Lab theme tune.

Off topic I know ;)

But I thougth Id let James know that both my sons that are still at home are now mad keen to try builing their first Airfix model........One want to build a Mosquito athe other wants to build a Bugati something or other (See back on topic).

So he has at least inspired 2 boys.

Actually the one of the old farts blurred out in the model shop looked alot like Jeremy........if you squinted just right.
